Outside of volleyball, you will find me gardening, reading, drinking coffee, or cheering on my kids at their sporting events. I live in Champlin with my husband, Niko, and our three children.

Jocelin Wehlage
JV Coach
This is my first year as the JV volleyball coach at Champlin Park High School, bringing more than a decade of experience as a player, referee, and coach. I began coaching and refereeing at age 19 and have spent years coaching club volleyball, along with experience coaching both boys’ and girls’ high school volleyball.
I love helping athletes learn through different styles—visual, kinetic, and auditory hoping to advance skills in a way they learn best. Creating an environment where players feel encouraged to be curious, take risks, and grow. My goal is to develop confident athletes and great people, both on and off the court.
After stepping away from coaching to earn my Doctorate as a Nurse Practitioner in Women’s Health, I returned to the sport I love. My own experiences with ACL and meniscus injuries have given me a unique perspective on the physical and mental challenges athletes face.
I believe volleyball can be a lifelong sport filled with friendships, growth, and opportunities. Outside of volleyball,I enjoy coffee, puzzles, and spending time with family.

9A Coach
I am looking forward to coaching at Champlin Park 9A this upcoming volleyball season.
I have over 25 years experience coaching JO club volleyball at M1 and Select coaching all divisions of girls volleyball from developmental teams to teams at the 18's level. I have also coached in the district at Anoka High School for many years as the 9A head coach and assisting with all other levels of high school volleyball.
Off the court, I worked in the electric power industry for 40 years as a Linesmen and retiring last February as the Electric Dept. Director. I have officially become a snowbird enjoying the cold winter months in Florida. I was also a firefighter with the Anoka-Champlin fire department for 26 years.
My wife and I have three adult children, Jen and Julie live in the Anoka area. (Julie coaches at CPHS) Jason has retired after 22 years in the marines and lives with his wife and daughter in the Dallas- Fort Worth, Texas area. My wife and I officially have 3 grandchildren.
I learned the game of volleyball watching my wife and daughters play at the high school and college levels. Volleyball wasn't available for boys and we played football in the fall, basketball in the winter, and baseball in the spring. I've had many good mentors along the way and feel privileged to call these people lasting friends as well.
I really enjoy coaching all levels of volleyball. It is so much fun to be a part of players learning the game and gaining skills to compete. It is fun to see the players grow and the smiles are endless.

9B Coach
I am thrilled to be a part of your athlete’s journey into high school volleyball. New to the coaching role, yet I bring 3 decades of experience building and leading teams. I have been a member of the CPVB booster club and an involved parent to a former CPVB athlete. I studied engineering at the UofM and operate a manufacturing business.
I live in Brooklyn Park with my wife Sara, and our daughters. If you bump into me off the court, be prepared for me to talk your ear off about what you’re reading, ask if you want go for a bike ride or about your favorite running routes, dig into the recipe you cooked recently, or start taking notes from your recent travel spots.
